Hello, Dorkbot community! I write to share the following exciting opportunity:

A retail clothing store has commissioned me to make 6 new large-scale, interactive sculptures for their storefront windows in New York, London and Madrid. The work needs to be completed by mid-December, so I need to hire at least one expert and 2-3 fabricators to help me get it done FAST. Ideally, candidates would be able to focus on this project full-time for the next month, and would have the following skills/resources:

-Mechanical engineering (basic, but competent enough that you can do elegant work)
-Basic mechanical drawing
-Prototyping
-Electronics (basic, not EE, just have to select existing parts and integrate wisely)
-Arduino programming
-Experience using camera sensors and Max/MSP/Jitter
-Electronic and mechanical assembly
-A space for working on large-scale sculpture
-Access to fabrication equipment: a CNC mill, woodworking/welding tools, etc.

Please visit this link to see images and a video of Wonder, the sculpture that the 6 new sculptures will be modeled after: http://aliciaeggert.com/works/show.php?id=104. Since each storefront has two windows, one window will be used to display a larger version of Wonder, and the other window will display a similar but different sculpture that forms/fragments a different word.

If you are interested in this opportunity please email me as soon as possible. Please include a brief description of similar work experience.
Thanks!
