Dear Friends,
Thanks in part to your letters of support, I am pleased to report that
the recent All Saints, Ashmont, preservation project has won a 2016
Preservation Award from the Massachusetts Historical Commission!
Awardees have been notified by mail, and we expect a press release to be
issued soon by the MHC.
This will be the project's 5th award. So far, we have won another
statewide preservation award in the form of a 2015 Paul E. Tsongas Award from
Preservation Massachusetts, a citywide 2015 Preservation Achievement Award
from the Boston Preservation Alliance, and the Best New England
Renovation/Restoration Project from Engineering News-Record.
In addition, this weekend the project will be recognized with its first
national award when the Victorian Society in America presents All Saints with
one of its 2016 Preservation Awards at its national convention in Los Angeles.
(Two representatives from the parish will be on hand to accept the award.)
We are still waiting to hear about one more regional and one more
national award.
So--this is all great news for our project and for Dorchester!
Thanks, again, for your support and your help with the award nomination
process.
All the best,
Jeff
