How to Install Joomla3.2 with PostgreSQL Database

Dear All,

I got error message "Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Error connecting to PGSQL database." during install joomla with PostgreSQL9.3. I try to connect postgres database with normal php file it's working fine. If anyone known or has experience how to config it please help.

Hi Seiha,

Could you check, what number of your PGSQL database? You may required to set port number in the database configuration settings. Not sure if you already tried this.

Thank for your response. You are right. By default port of postgresql is 5432, but I have changed to port: 5433. I try to use 127.0.0.1:5433 to connect but it is not the correct way and I got the message as show above. The problem was solved, we need to use the world "port=5433". Here is the correct host: 127.0.0.1 port=5433 .
