DOP-Mii v12 freezes when starting up

Hi, I am on version 3.2 software and i'm trying to upgrade to 4.2. I
am following this guide (http://gwht.wikidot.com/upgrade) and i'm at
the step where I have to run Dop-Mii, whenever I load it from the
homebrew channel there is a red bar and then the remotes don't seem to
be on and when I try to turn them on they don't connect. I dont have
anything plugged into the wii besides the sd card from where
everything is loading. Please help me out!
