Hi, Y'all!

The Town of Gibraltar Baha'is are planning an intercalary days (Ayyam-
i-Ha) party for Saturday, February 26th. For those who are not
familiar with the celebration, I will say, in brief, that the end of
February is the time when Baha'is celebrate by giving gifts, doing
service projects and having folks over for a visit. It is the time
between the 18th and 19th month of the Baha'i calendar, lasting some
four or five days. The 19th month of the Baha'i year is the last
month, during which most adult Baha'is fast from sunrise to sundown
and which ends at the first day of spring: the Baha'i New Year! So
one might compare the Ayyam-i-Ha (days of joy) to Mardi Gras, which is
celebrated before Lent in the Christian faith.

We'll start at 12:30 p.m. on the 26th at the old Gibraltar Town Hall
in Fish Creek with a potluck lunch (by popular demand)! I will bring
my egg rolls! There will be a variety of games and fun for all ages.
If you are interested in helping plan the party or have any questions,
please contact me! This event is open to followers of all religions
or no religion--as long as you have no objection to virtues!

Hope to hear from you!
