Does anyone know if there are any blueberries grown in Door County?

There was an ad in the Advocate for Blueberry Haven, near
Clintonville, but if I can find a supplier closer to home, I'd prefer
that.

Pam, I don't know any large producer of blueberries up here.  At least north of the canal the ground doesn't have the right pH....too much lime.  There are a number of home gardeners (including myself) who are raising blueberries.  They grow well, provided they have their own specific pH soil.  I grow mine in pots, set into the ground, and apply plenty of compost.  From the three 1-year plants, I felt we had a pretty yummy handful of big, juicy berries.

Are you planning to sign up for the 100-Mile challenge?
