Ladies and Gentlemen!

Step right up! Come partake in the celebration of the ages! The carnival of carnivores... The Menagerie of Meats... the Feast of a Thousand Beasts!

As many of you know, the holiday season is almost upon us, and that means our traditional friends-giving potluck is just around the corner! This raucous celebration of food and drink is truly a feast for the gods!

Date: Sunday, November 23rd.
(The Sunday before Thanksgiving)

Time: 2pm - 9pm. Dinner at 6pm.

Place: The Center, 548 Filmore st.

Since a lot of food is involved, please take a moment to RSVP HERE so we know how many people to cook for and what to expect people are bringing. If you're not sure yet, no worries - you can change your mind later :)

+1 friends and lovers welcome, but please add them to the list, so we can accommodate our food for the correct total of people! And if I missed anyone from this invite, it was not intentional! Please forward this invitation along to those I missed.

Hey gang, tomorrow's the big day! i have birds a-brining and a wonderfully clean kitchen ready to be cooked in! please remember that oven and stove space is at a premium and so if, at this point, you have not already approached me about using the oven (save for reheating before dinner) it will be very difficult to make space and time.

A word on clean up and post eating. As all of you know I like to man the dish washing station at Friendsgiving since I'm weird but I would also like to welcome help this year and give some advice on how to make clean up faster. Once dinner is over I will be asking for 5-6 people to help pack away the extra food and get all the dishes cleaned. If you would like to help clean during the event please approach me and I will show you where items should be put back. Please please do not put ANY full beverage containers into the recycling as last year we had a lot of trash spillage. Also if you see the trash or recycling is full please let me know! I am hoping to make this year the least stressful yet but those who know me know large crowds give me anxiety so please don't take my mood personally. Love and see ya in the kitchen!!!

Wow, so that was fucking awesome. Friendsgiving really is one of my favorite things we do each year in this community. That said, a few thanks are in order...

1. Alex, thank you for so generously purchasing and cooking turkey for all 50(?) of us. It is such a gift. And for bringing your mom, who might be the happiest person I have ever met.

2. Steve, thanks for organizing all this business and then spending 8 hours in the kitchen.

3. Jill, thank you for attempting to make the most complicated dessert in the history of French patisserie and for always being the lead clean-up crew.

4. Everyone at The Center, thank you for letting us have this event in your space every year (among many others).

5. All y'all, thanks for the delicious food everyone brought and the delightful company. I am always amazed by how I ended up with so many awesome friends.
