please help!

I'm an old school Doom junkie. Been playing since I was about 13 and
I'm 32 now. The whole Android thing is still kinda new to me. I
downloaded Doom from 4shared no prob, but I keep getting the libdoom
error whenever I try to install wads. I also tried to download the
prboom.apk files and it says my phone does not support the file type
when I try to install. I have a samsung Replenish on Sprint. Any
suggestions? I have been dying to play Doom again!!! Thanks!

You may need to enable installing applications from unknown sources
other than the Android Market. From the home screen press menu-
>settings->applications and make sure the Unknown Sources is checked.

Here is the link to the direct download for PrBoom4Android
http://prboom4android.googlecode.com/files/PrBoom4Android_1.3.1.apk.
Once you download it you may want to use a file manager app and go to
the folder where it was downloaded. Then select the .apk and it
should hopefully give you the option to install it.

I tried installing both ways and neither worked. The unknown sources box is checked. When I longhold on the prboom icon and hit details it says the file size is zero. Any other suggestions? And, thank you for your help so far.
