Hi all,

I am the Director of Annual Giving at Bentley University (aker...@bentley.edu). I've been doing some CYE analysis and am curious to know how gifts generally come in through your annual fund - percentage of outright online, recurring gifts, direct mail, stocks,
etc.? And if you have seen a shift this FY?

It would be helpful to know what other schools are experiencing. Thank you in advance for sharing!

Best,
Allison Kerivan

Hi Allison,

We just closed our books for 2020, so all of this is anecdotal:

Our December direct mail appeal did not start arriving until the New Year but we did see an uptick in online giving.

We also noted that a number of our most loyal donors significantly increased their giving (maybe because of the tax incentives) through cash or stock gifts.

Our donor counts are down across the board.

Thanks Louis for sharing your thoughts. It’s been an interesting year to see how donors are responding.

Have a great weekend,

Allison
