Afternoon Alex,
Apologies for the delayed response and thank you for meeting with me on 13th August.
One of things we spoke about was DTRA having another article in our tenant magazine (Tenants in Touch). I know you have published articles in here before, although we discussed and article to focus on hopefully boasting the DTRA memberships.
I explained our techniques of drawing tenants in to become involved we us. We promote free soft skills training (such as craft session) to our tenants and while there we started to promote Tenant Involvement and see if they would like to become volunteers.
There may be a lot of tenants that have no desire to attend one of your monthly meetings, although may have great interest in taking part/or helping out with some of the activities you are involved in. Through this and their attendance, you may have a chance to promote Donnington TRA more and they then may decide to become a DTRA member.
If you could please write an article to promote Donnington TRA and all the wonderful activities you are involved in such as:
§ Food Club.
§ Donning Park Rejuvenation
§ Over 50’s
§ IT Club.
§ Community Orchard.
§ Annual Music Festival. Although I think this will have happened prior to the next magazine going out, a local resident/music enthusiast may have an interest in helping setting up a future music festival.
If you could write a short paragraph on each and include any dates/times and meeting points interested people would need to know.
Would also be an idea to include the Donnington email address for anyone to make any enquiries.
Justine (copied in) really needs this article by the end of this week if you can manage it.
I’ll be in touch with you next week to follow up on our conversation about the grant funding.
Thank you
Simon
