Dear Friends,

We wish you a peaceful Saka Dawa. Our FPMT community is commemorating Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana all over the world today with vast pujas, prayers and offerings in many monasteries and nunneries, Dharma centers, and in our homes. As tens of thousands of us engage in Dharma practices and acts of kindness, we encourage taking a few moments to pause and remember this and rejoice – a wonderful opportunity with the merit power increased exponentially today!

Last Day for Work a Day for Rinpoche

Today is also the culmination of our annual two-week Work a Day for Rinpoche invitation during Saka Dawa and we hope to rally support today for the projects and activities of Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s International Office.

Over the past five decades, our projects and impact continue to expand and expand. Today our work includes:

֍ Offering access to Dharma publishing, online studies, translation projects

֍ Helping underserved children, elder refugees, Sangha, lineage teachers

֍ Sponsoring pujas, retreats, and holy objects

֍ Training community leaders and volunteers

֍ Connecting the global mandala with Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s teachings, community news, and lots more!

If you would like to make a Work a Day for Rinpoche contribution in support of these efforts, any amount makes a difference.

Thanks so much again, and we also invite recitations of the Sutra of Golden Light (please report your recitations for our ongoing world count here), as well as these practices suggested by Rinpoche for Saka Dawa.

With gratitude and good wishes,

Your Friends at FPMT International Office
