Dear Friends and Family,
How time gets away on us. We got to Pucallpa uneventfully on Tuesday evening, tired but happy with all of our stuff. That was a miracle in itself due to the small mountain of stuff that we brought. We have spent the last two days in town buying supplies to set up housekeeping. The house we are living in temporarily is small but adequate. We have been eating with the Base Administrator but hopefully by the middle of next week we will be setup to begin eating as a family. Currently the Lake Aircraft is being prepared for its yearly governmental inspection, and the Cessna 182 is receiving a rebuilt engine, so for the time being only maintenance activities are going on around the base. This is good as it gives us time to get settled.
If you want to contact us, we have internet but it is SLOW. Please don’t send forwards or attachments. We still have the same email address odon...@gmail.com, or you can send a message back through this Google group.
Odil now has a cell phone number (quite pricy) from the States at 011-51-61-961-71-6070. The Air Base land line from the States is 011-51-61-59-6698 (reasonably priced). The Air Base phone is in the next house up the hill, so if you would like to call it may take several minutes to find us.
I have it on good authority that before the day is over you can find updates on our website (if the internet is working) at www.Peruprojects.com
We are having fun getting settled, it is a beautiful country with beautiful people, the town has much character, and best of all we know God is leading.
Stay Tuned, and God Bless,
Orville, Odil, Andrew and Christina
