Heya,

This Friday I shall be supporting those folky rockers The Gentlemen of IO in the fine Essex town of Terling:

Friday 10th July

(I’ll be on after 8.30 at some point for 30 minutes or so)

After that, I may be able to bang my box for them, we shall see.

Essex Arms Band Night - Thu 2nd July

Last week it was my good fortune to play a cheeky support role to a couple of corking young bands.  Now, you’d think they’d attract a load of rampaging youths to their gigs.  However their natural audience seems to be their relatives!  Mums, Dads, uncles, aunts etc - this suits me fine - it’s my age group :)

Headlining, Melodic Metallers InEquinox were a super tight and well rehearsed outfit with singer Jenni belting out some catchy tunes.  Unfortunately, compère Paul Smith kept forgetting their name.  He also chose this evening to extol the virtues of Scholl footwear (at great length).

High-energy alt-rockers High Compression had decided it was too hot (it was!) so they played in beach-ware.  Unfortunately for them, the room is air-conditioned so they had to run around to keep warm.

And because no-one took any pictures of me, here is a picture I took of them:
