Ahoy there!,
It's been a fun little trip round the lighthouse this year with
Box-o-Frogs but I must inform you that I shall be sailing off into
the sunset next month!
My wife, Claire is expecting our second child in December and I
thought it only fair that I muck in for the duration. I'm going to
give up the live music for a while and am putting the Frogs on
indefinite shore leave.
HOWEVER - We are intending to go out with a full scale
Naval
Broadside!
and so
I am pleased to announce that we are one of the acts playing at the
RNLI fund raiser -
train
one, save many!
at the Essex Arms, Brentwood
Saturday November 13th
We are onstage from 4pm till 5pm
(that's a whole nautical HOUR, folks!)
It's only
£3 to get in (But to be honest I
think that's so cheap that we should dig a bit deeper)
Children under 16 will be welcome up until 7pm - so you can bring
the little fishies too!
There follows a crude facsimile of what we expect to occur:
As you can see above, we will have an extra shipmate on our final
journey.
Bosun
Dan Hobbs has agreed to help us
round this treacherous promentary! He will be singing, dancing the
Hornpipe and blowing vigorously upon the
correct end of his
Kazoo (this time).
I'm sure you're all as pleased as he is that I didn't call him a "
Rear
Admiral" and will welcome him on board with one of those
squeaky whistle things.
Please come if you can, it'd be great see you.
Cheers
Dave (Chris, Darren and Dan)
PS there's gonna be a secret practice gig on the 4th Nov, in the
evening, also at the Essex Arms - we'll be on about 9-ish.
