Over the last year, I've been cohosting the community social hour at Kitsilano Community Centre with Glen Brauer. He hosts the discussion group, and I host the board games.
Over the next month, we'll be changing so that the two groups alternate instead of happening on the same nights in the same room.
On the first Tuesday of each month, the discussion group will meet at the community centre and the board games group is welcome to join the community potluck and game night at Canadian Memorial United church. See https://www.canadianmemorial.org/our-programs for all the details, although they typically start closer to 6pm than 5pm. It's a community outreach event, so everyone is welcome.
On the second Tuesday, the community centre needs the room, so neither group will meet.
On the third, fourth, and sometimes fifth Tuesdays, the board game group will meet at the community centre.
The board game group is switching their schedule now, so there will only be a discussion group at the community centre on March 3rd. For March, though, the discussion group will continue to meet alongside the boardgame group later in the month. The schedule will switch completely in April.
I know that's a lot of detail, so for the next couple of months I'll send out brief reminders with the new schedule every week or so. Once we get used to it, I'll drop it to monthly reminders.
