Hey guys,

Great work! Love dompdf. I have 0.6b installed both locally on a LAMP
install and online again on a LAMP install, both installs seem be to
be the same and both are identical, but offline the pdf generation
works marvelously, but online I keep getting Uncaught exception
'DOMPDF_Exception' with message 'No block-level parent found. Not
good.' in inline_positioner.cls.php:68

I have tried reuploading, reinstalling dompdf again and again, but not
helping, any advice would be appreciated. Would like to ideally wrap
this asap! sorry for the trouble!

We haven't yet tracked down a specific cause for this error. You've
already tried the one solution we've found (reinstalling). Can you
post a sample document that exhibits the problem.

I had the same problem when I installed domPDF on a fresh install
running Windows 7 and IIS6. Turns out I didn't enable the mb_string
extension. Enabling that fixed the problem. I'll also note the some of
the mb_string function replacements (in functions.inc.php) don't work
properly (probably why you need mb_string enabled). For instance Line
342 in the replacement mb_strlen function uses the variable $data, but
$data doesn't exist. Maybe this should be $str?

That's good to know, thanks for the info.

We have had a few bugs with the mb_string compatibility functions. I
believe the one you mentioned, plus a few others, have been addressed
in the latest development version. If you run across anything like
that in the future feel free to post a bug report.
