Working procedure: This is a payed core facility. The slides should be prepared strictly according to the form below. Slides for scanning can be dropped off every workday between 08:30 and 09:30 at BioClinicum: J5:30, Room U210 05 6500, expedition 6. Scanned slides will be ready depending on the number of slides for scanning between 3-5 working days. The scanned pictures can be transferred to KI box for downloading.

Here we have the Driver and Software ready for download for Film Scanner Traveler TV 6500 for Windows XP, Vista, 7, for both 32 and 64 bit versions.
I lost a precious time to find it, so i decide to share the installations with you.
Here are the links for download:

I have a Traveler TV-6500 which has passed under Win7. Now I have WIN10 on the computer and the scanner is not recognized by the computer. Where can I find a driver for the scanner from? Who can help me?

I have recently acquired a TV-6500 SF with original SW CD. When I installed SW on my old PC running windows Vista I was immediately directed to your site to update to the latesrpt SW This seemed to go ok but when I activated acquire mode a pop up appeared saying that an error had occurred and that the application would have to be closed by Windows I retried on a second machine also running Vista and the same error happened. Do I have to install only the original SW or is there a bug fix

Also unser Traveler ist da.

"The DMM6500 keeps an internal count of the number of times each relay has been closed. This count can help you determine when relays require replacement. Refer to the card documentation for the contact life specifications for the relays."

It's not like it would have increased the price that much to keep the count in the board itself.

There are secondary goals: learning, gain niche industry skills, entertainment, lab geek factor.
And being able to see how a good company like Keithley solves an engineering problem like: how do we measure many things fast at an affordable investment.

So,
I tried a bit to do few things with those advises.
The VI is a bit simpler and I managed to get a "continuous acquisition" (one sample each 200ms).
It seems to work as I can see the graph of defbuffer1 being filled bit by bit.
I'm still stuck with how to save the acquisition on my computer,

So I'm trying to find what should be the problem (I wonder if it's a wrong name or string I put in the "save buffer.vi". Or if it's even possible to put the acquisition on my computer rather than on a USB key.

The idea is to read in one while loop, put the data in a queue that is read by the other while loop and by that loop written to disk in parallel with the data reading so that both while loops don't influence each other timing. This is doable when no wires originate from a while are read by the other while.

I must admit that I didn't try for too long, because I thought that if it worked a bit it should work a lot
I'll do it longer to try !
Good idea with the loop counter, I'll try.

I thought that at the end of my measure (with the stop button it was supposed to be done like this to get the buffer which was filled during the while loop). And I was thinking about a solution to just save the read values in LabVIEW without passing by the buffer. But I thought it was too bad because the buffer has all the needed info...
Yes I read the data, but I can see on the front panel of the DMM that the graph exist already so I thought the good way would be to get back this buffer in a csv file or something along to put it on excel.
(Naively I was imagining something along this :
Start experiment -> clear buffer -> start measurement -> stop measurement by clicking on the stop button -> save buffer in my computer)

I was asking also to the Tektronix staff their thoughts on this,
And the (nice) guy who answered me told me that he doesn't have LabVIEW,
But to him two solutions :
- "The CSV must be saved in the USB stick connected to DMM6500"
(It's not what I want)
- "If the intention is to trace the buffer to Labview, TRACE:SAVE is not the function to use, you need to save the buffer into a Labview array and then save it to PC hard disk".
So I think that Mr Albert.Geven was definitly right. I should try this solution of parallelism.

The idea is that the loop above the data is read from the instrument as you do already and queued into the opened queue and that data is read and when a number of points is gathered saved in a file on disk.

Hi Albert.Geven !

Sorry to bother again, I know I'm really close to the end with all the tools in my hands.
But as it's the first time using those concepts in LabVIEW I think I made 2-3 errors.

So, back again to bother the community
I'm trying really hard to save my resistance data from the dmm6500 in an 2d array (time vs resistance) into my laptop.
Thanks to Albert.Geven I know that the most probable solution should be the producer/consumer design pattern (data) but I'm having a hard time understanding the array problem and how to save them at the end.

I'm putting the full VI in case of it.

-Then is the consumer loop, I use "dequeue element.vi" to get back this resistance/time data (1D array).
with this data I use "insert into array.vi" to add the dequeued data in a 2D array at index "i" (iteration of the consumer loop to put the last resistance/time data at the end)

Should it be something like this to get a proper 2D array of resistance vs time ?

Then I use "array to spreadsheet string.vi" with "%f" for the format string because I had an array of numbers and "tab" should be good enough for now for the delimiter parameter.

Problems :
- If I test my VI with nothing for the file path, I have nothing else than just on data couple in the text in the front panel. So I think I should try differently to add my 1D array in the 2D array that I want to save

.... A long way to go it seems

If somebody who has done something along can tell me if it should be done in this manner or if I forgot (a lot of) things ?

Thanks for your reading time in any cases !

My HP 6500A Plus has the "cartridge carriage" stuck to the far right side, under the diagram for changing the ink. It stuck when I turned it on. Had previously used it today for a fax. I have followed all the animated instructions and those on the web site. (There is no paper jam as the animated instructions indicate.) It will not move, even by hand, using considerable force. Any suggestions, other than taking it in for repairs, which is my next option?

Whe the unit is powered off is it possible to move the carriage. If this is possible then it may be that the encoder strip is a bit dirty and the carriage has lost its ability to determine its position. Here is a link to a post explaining how to clean the encoder strip on a printer.

Hello 8434544, sorry to hear about the paper jam and flashing light problem on your 6500A Plus. I have a document containing troubleshooting steps for you to follow step by step to help fix this specific issue. Please make sure to have the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet as well.

I have tried everything to get the printer cartridge to unjam from the far right hand side of the printer. There is no paperjam at all. I am an engineer and service the 44inch HPZ2100 printers, yet this thing has proven to be quite frustrating. Is there a quick release for the cartridge and do you have a serice manual that I can do a full service on this printer that you can email or upload for me.

I would start by checking the pathways of the carriage to make sure that there are no obstructions in the way. I would then check to make sure that there are no paper jams in the machine. I would try to gently manually move the print carriage from one side to the other. If the carriage is at the right side, it is docked in its station. You can try to lift up and slide it to the center.

I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue. With the printer still turned on disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer, if the printer has external power module with a detachable power cord disconnect it for 15 seconds and then reconnect it. Then disconnect the power cable from wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)

The VACIS IP6500 system is a powerful, practical solution for scanning cargo containers, trucks, and other vehicles in high-volume operations. Its X-ray imaging and available, integrated Exploranium radiation scanning help customs and security personnel intercept weapons, narcotics, nuclear material, and other contraband hidden in cargo. Its FullScan feature allows scanning of entire vehicles, bumper to bumper and roof to tires, including occupants. And with its high throughput and small footprint, the system is ideal for seaports and other high-volume cargo facilities.
