How are you all? Though I have been in touch with a good number of you, I'm sure I have been a pitiful correspondent with the majority, and for that I apologize. I hope this email finds you well and happy. As for me, its been a little over a year and a half since I rolled down onto the shores of the beagle channel and finished 'Take A Seat'. But since then, the journey has been a little more difficult, involving the harsh reality that I'm sure all of you could teach me a thing or two about - earning money, paying bills, being responsible, all that stuff that I could ignore for the two and a bit years on the road. Still I seem to have been at least partly responsible for a book and documentary coming out of it along the way, which is gratifying!
Anyway, I'll keep it brief. Shortly I will be embarking once more, right after having stuck around the UK for my book launch
(amazon link). this time the journey is with just one companion, Ernie Greenwald, a 74 year old who was foolish enough to ride for one day with me from Lompoc to Santa Barbara in California way back when.......this time the two of us will traverse the US, and you can read more about this here, officially the first blog on the subject written on a train having left the confines of Ernie's deluxe RV!!

I have yet to fire up a website for 'Dom and Ernie' but there will be one before too ling - there better be, we set off at the end of June!! In the mean time, please do keep in touch, and if any of you are interesting in donating to a chosen charity for the next project or helping with the not insignificant costs of the project itself which will be once again turned into a documentary) please do drop me a line.
Attached is a picture of me, Ernie and the incredible bike (kindly donated by
www.hasebikes.com) which we will be using to cross from California to New York. I will be in touch again soon to invite as many of you as possible to my book launch in early May - a brilliant excuse to see you all again, and you don't even have to buy a book, just come and laugh at the spelling errors......
Take care!!
Dom
