Hello everyone!!
After a huge amount of time without having sent out any news to this particular mailing list, i thought I'd pull my finger out of my seat post and get on with it. While Achilles is fastened to my kitchen ceiling where he keeps me and a small family of ants company in an otherwise empty house, wheels on my small, one man publcity machine continue to roll. I'll keep the news simple.....
DOCUMENTARY - I've always found the waiting game horribly frustrating, but thats the game i am having to play while ITV in the UK decides whether they want my offering or not. So, at this stage I'm unable to say how long it will take for Take A Seat to reach the silver screen, but it will, even if it means I have to invade the live set of Oprah or dance naked behind news reporters discussing misguided expense claims outside Westminster. IT WILL HAPPEN!
BOOK - Thanks to the helping hand of my agent, a comprehensive and quality proposal is winging its way round the publishing industry, and with any luck, positive news will arrive before too long!
TALKS / PRESENTATIONS - I have delivered a number of talks about my epic adventure to audiences ranging from OAPs to primary schools. They all seemed to enjoy it, and I continue to develop my repertoire of hilarious (?) anecedotes and life affirming extracts......interested in listening to a presentation?? Give me suggestions as to whom to approach and I'll organise one for you!!
Meanwhile, outside of these activities, I am surviving, doing what everyone else does, buying groceries, trying to find a bit of work here and there to stay alive while pursuing my dreams, and of course, planning more adventures, details of which may be revealed before too long!!
I am, as ever, grateful to all those that have given to Hope and Homes for Children (www.takeaseat.org) - we have together raised a siugnificant amount of money, but I am hoping through my talks and everything else that we can raise more.....
Look at the slick new website, tell your friends and spread the word - this will only spur on the documentary making and book publishing process!!!
I hope you are all well, please get in touch if you haven't been!! Those of you I met on ym journey that haven't been in touch recently.....I am thinking of you all probably mroe often than your ealised as I watch odd bits of ffotage or write titbits of memories down. The blog continues by the way on the website....take a look at life post trip!
