My dear friends,
The day has at last come when i can deliver good news. Looking at the time and date at the bottom right hand corner of my screen I can see that its 3 years to the day since i left the wind blown wilderness of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, on my bicycle built for two. I have been back in some semblance of normality for nearly a year now trying to make this documentary work in the fickle and competitive world of television. But this is it! Programme your digi-box, prime your flat screen TV and get popcorn on the shopping list......
Take A Seat, an hour long documentary on my journey from Alaska to Argentina on a tandem will be airing on
22nd July, ITV4 at 8PM !! (Unfortunately this is just available in the UK, but rest assured it will be sold internationally in the near future and grace the TV screens of my dear friends across the pond!). Please watch it!! the more viewers, the more chance of another!! Spread the word.....
How, you may ask, does one fit 157 hours of video into a one hour documentary....well, we're currently finding out, frantically logging, digitising and editing footage, so watch this space. Even better, go to the website where the date is posted in case you forget.
And last but not least, I would love you to visit
http://www.takeaseat.org/videos/ to see my latest short video - FACES. This is meant as a thank you - all be it pathetically inadequate - to the hundreds of you I met on my journey, and the hundreds that loaded me with hospitality, kindness and unforgetable memories. This is not the end though, oh no, just the beginning!!
I hope this email finds you all very well, and please, if you have lost touch with me, I would sincerely love to hear from you!!
Love to you all
Dominic
