Hi, it's Glee in Calif.  Anyone still on this list from the 1990's?  I am on just one acre in Butte Co. now, left my little farm in the Siskiyous 10 years ago and still adjusting to having only lady bantams, no geese, guinea hens, goats, ducks, etc.

I’m still here in Ballard , CA.

Raccoons struck tonight. One of my hens screeched a warning to the whole neighborhood. No deaths tonight. Just neurotic hens.

I have moved from the Carolinas to the Nevada desert and once again am taking care of chickens . . . in addition to my husband's sheep, seven dogs, cat, and parrot. The best part of my day is letting the chickens out of their yard and watching them run flapping across the dogs' yard to the yard surrounding the sheep pen so they can bathe themselves in sheep poop dust.

I'm still here too.  I don't have that many chickens these days, but I'm still raising them.  Mostly dominiques.

Dennis.

I'm not from the 90's as my children got me into this when I was homeschooling them in the late 90's early 2000's... I'm in eastern MA and have a mixed flock which are delightful and relaxing to watch, wihch is why I keep them. Trying to build up an egg business just to use my supply, but it's slow. Any hints would be appreciated...  - Diane

I'm still here, but in South Carolina instead of FL. Now have chickens cows and ducks, as well as the cats and dogs.

I didn't think this lit was still active, so it was fun to see familiar (even after so long) email addresses. Thanks for breaking the silence :)

Wonder if Patty is still down near San Diego, how about Ed Cummings (Australia)?  He actually was in Reno for a forester's conference years ago and drove out to Fort Jones (Siskiyou County) to visit us!  Also Pat ?? up in Twisp, Wa.?  Katra in Texas with the emu?

Not sure if I started on the list before or after we got our first chickens [2000] but we're still here [IL].  Down the road about 12 miles from where we started, and without poultry for a minute in time.  Watching for coyotes and rebuilding an orchard.  A few other projects need doing before we can add the birds back again.  We lost all our ducks to coyotes about 5 years ago, and the geese [every vigilant] were keeping us up at night, so it will be chickens and maybe turkeys when we start up again.

Hi, Glee and All!
I guess I am still on the list.  Haven't heard from the group in ages.  Is this a revival??  How nice if so!

Hi, Diane
Where abouts in MA?  I have family in Ware.  On other side of state, of course.
Here in VT I can sell my Guinea and chicken eggs for at least $3.00 dozen.  I can't advertize as organic, but mine are cage-free, free-range, homone free. You'll get people who will appreciate that.
If Mass. has a Front Page Forum or Craigslist, advertise there.

I am Pat in Vermont. I don't know other members that well.  I raise Orpington chickens and Guineas.

I am on the list from the ‘90s.   The list was very active then.   I left for a while and then rejoined to find not much activity.   Guess everyone knows all they need to about poultry!
