How's everyone doing?  I can't believe it's Thursday afternoon already.  I guess time's fun when your having flys.. ;P

 

We had a good meeting last Saturday.  Thank you for those who attended.. especially for Richards who drove all the way from Purdue just for the meeting.

As you can see, we need some help in the internet team.  We still need to create accounts in all main social media web sites such as facebook, myspace...  Thanks Elliot again for getting those videos into YouTube. 

This team designation is only a guideline so feel free to contribute anywhere you can. 

Each team leaders will contact you shortly to go over plans for each team.  I have included a contact list for the entire team. 

 

2.  Stickers are ready for distribution. We will be meeting this Saturday 2 pm in front of Assi Plaza and Sunday 1 pm in front of H-Mart to distribute the stickers and let people know about what we're doing.... and concert...  This is for everyone so PLEASE try to make it.  We will have our regular Saturday meeting right after this event on Saturday.

 

3.  Staff t-shirts will be ready by this Saturday for everyone.  I'll bring the shirts to Assi Plaza this Saturday. 

 

4.  Yoonie will work on poster and brochure for the project (Peter to send concert info when finalized and Dokdo info for brochures)

 

5.  Our team name still hasn't been finalized.  Please submit any ideas to the group.  We need to absolutely finalize the name by next meeting.

 

6.  I have CKACC membership registration form in English and Korean (attached..).  As mentioned during the meeting, we will be using these forms during our sticker distribution / ticket sales events to bring in more members.  For each registration that a volunteer brings in, we will be giving $10 back to that volunteer.

One question that I have is, has the date for the concert been set?

They are in the final stages of negotiating with Korean singers.  I don't have the exact dates but I believe the concert will be during Thanksgiving.  I'll let everyone know as soon as things are finalized.  Thanks.

I actually think its better for it to be thanksgiving weekend. More college students will be home from school, people have a bit of a longer weekend and most international students don't go home for thanksgiving. It should mean that more people will be able to go.

can be vice versa too though. college students who attend school in chicago, go out of town to visit their family. or what lotta my friends do who are out of staters, comes to chicago during thanksgiving weekend and they're busy with family and reunions with friends all weekend.
