Scientific Computing with Python-Austin, Texas-July 16-21, 2012

June has arrived which means SciPy 2012 is coming up quickly.  There are significant savings available if you act now!

Here's how:

  • Early bird registration: Save $50 with early bird registration.  You must register by June 18 to get this discount.  Register now.

  • We have great rooms available while they last: Stay on-site at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the University of Texas Campus for $104 a night plus tax.  Current rates for other downtown Austin hotels range from $125-$279 per night, with most hotels quoting around $200.  Make your reservations now because at this rate, rooms will be sold out soon.
Conference Updates:

The conference tutorials have been announced and include Introduction to Numpy, Ipython, HDF5, Parallel computing, scikits-learn, advanced Matplotlib, Pandas, and statsmodels.  For more information click here.

Our two outstanding keynote speakers this year will be
Dr. John Hunter, original author of matplotlib and Dr. Joshua Bloom, a UC Berkeley astronomer who uses Python in his image analysis pipeline.

A record number of talks have been submitted this year, so this will be one of our best SciPy conferences yet.  You don't want to miss it!

See you in July!
