WLAN Engineer

Duration: 12 Months will extend

Work Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

Rate: $70/Hour C2C

Job Description:

 Handling WLAN Refresh at multiple San Diego sites
 Sempra HQ LAN Refresh

o Replacing ~100 LAN switches at HQ

o Will entail months of prep-work, and likely a few months of implementation

o Going from Juniper EX to Aruba 6300

 WLAN Experience (Aruba preferred)
 LAN Experience (Juniper to Aruba preferred).  

Candidate must be familiar with Aruba AOS and CX platforms.

Qualifications and Skills:
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
 Proven experience as a WLAN Engineer with a focus on Aruba technologies.
 Certification in Aruba networking (e.g., Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Aruba
Certified Design Professional (ACDP), etc.).
 In-depth knowledge of wireless protocols, standards (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), and RF
principles.
 Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba wireless controllers, access points, and network
management systems.
 Strong understanding of network security concepts and experience implementing security
measures in WLAN environments.
 Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.
 Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
