Hi neighbors,
If you aren't aware, the City of Berkeley offers a service of planting trees in our neighborhood through a program called Trees Make Life Better. If you have space between the sidewalk and street, you can submit an application to have the city plant a tree for you, free of charge, so long as you water it. If you are one of the homes with concrete in that area, they will also excavate the concrete to plant a tree.
You can find more information on the city's website or apply via the PDF attached. We love seeing more trees in our neighborhood and when I reached out a couple years back, they were pretty quick to approve and plant a tree for us!
