DoES Epic Trip to North West Computer Museum / Leigh Hackspace

One of my actions from the community meeting was to arrange an epic trip to the North West Computer Museum and Leigh Hackspace, both based in Leigh Spinners Mill (this is a really interesting destination in itself, they still make astroturf there, but it also hosts a whole range of businesses, including artists' studios and galleries, furniture makers, record shop, cinema, etc.).

I've been in touch with Paul from Leigh Hackspace and the best time to visit them would be from 12:00 - 17:00 on a Saturday. Saturday opening for the Computer Museum is from 10:00 - 16:00 and Heritage public visitor tours of the mill are from 10:00 - 14:00 (definitely worth it to see the original steam engines which have been renovated).

I've set up a Doodle Poll here. Can everyone who's interested fill in the dates they'll be available.  We can work out the details later - it will be good if we get some people with cars as it isn't a great place to get to be public transport.

The favoured days for doing this are Saturday 15th March and Saturday 22nd March (6 votes each).  If anyone else is interested please get in touch. Maybe we can discuss transport etc. while people are in for the community meeting on Sunday.

7 now for 29th which is my preference as can't do 22nd.

I have no people carrier, just an ordinary car (will take three passengers). In principle I could do the 29th but I will not come to Liverpool to pick people up. I can pick people up from a Wirral line station on the Chester/Ellesmere Port line. What do you think?

Hi,

I just had a chat with Jackie.

I'll leave from DoES, roughly 9am, on the Sat 29th March.  I've got 2 seats left (3 at a squeeze) in my 7 seater.

Can everyone who is going please reply indicating if they are leaving from DoES or from the Wirral so we can confirm if we have enough cars/seats.
