Introduction to PAT Testing workshop.

Hi folks,

I’ve been talking to a few folks about running a workshop in DoES to explain what is involved in PAT testing of portable electrical equipment. So I thought I’d send an email out to the group to try and gauge the level of interest.

To be clear, I am not offering a formal qualification or test for PAT Testing, there are plenty of resources online to fulfil this aspect. It is more of a practical demonstration of what is involved in PAT testing and some details of what causes items to fail the test.

The workshop will be free, but we will combine some practical experience by putting you to work re-testing some of the equipment in DoES, so everyone will get some good hands-on experience, rather than just a dry technical presentation.

If that sounds of interest, then please reply to this message, along with the best times for your availability. Depending on the level of interest, I will try to run 2 workshops on different days and times to cater for your availability.

I’d be interested in this - the community event that I run requires PAT testing for anything over 12m old so this would be useful. I’ll organise a test and qualification also. 

I tend to be free evenings and weekends, I can make it work I’m sure!
