Each week we'll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in
our introductory post.
And remember, if you're involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!
Please help us spread the word! If you, or any of your friends, could do with a Boost to get a new idea off the ground (or even just to keep going…), then take a look at our Boost scheme – 6 months free desk or workshop membership here at DoES Liverpool, conveniently
situated near the centre of the city. Join our innovative community!
It’s a draw so everyone has an equal chance. Applications are open until 11:59pm on Sunday 30th November 2025.
Jackie Pease:I like this contour fill - one of the inbuilt options in
#inkstitch. Machine embroidery on
Peloton Liverpool jackets, using Fred, the @DoESLiverpool embroidery machine (I was going to use the default fill, but it didn't work well on the wheels). #WeekNotes
Adrian McEwen:A productive afternoon's work. I've got a new board added to the CH32 Arduino platform, so can now run blink on the
@MCQN_Ltd Hexanoodle board (with its CH32V203F8 chip) 🚨
I'd done a bit more work on it on Monday too and tried cutting it out. That wasn't too bad, but the tabs to hold the panel with the PCB on didn't keep it in place.
So today I reworked that bit to have the side panels to hold the battery hook over the PCB panel. That holds things much better.
These are the events booked in for this week. Click the link or contact the event organiser for more details. Want to run something yourself? Check the
host your own events page on our website.
Maker Night
Our free weekly evening meeting, where you can find out about our space and all the making equipment in it, get a laser cutter or CNC embroidery machine induction, and work on projects from physical computing and electronics to 3d printing, CNC routing and
sewing. Just pay for materials used.
The DoES Liverpool to-do list is stored in the
issues of our Somebody Should repository on github. Head over there if there's something you'd like to report, or if you want to help out fixing things.
