In case you missed last month's update on this. In preparation for the Government's spending review, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority produced a new Growth Plan as LCR's proposition to Government.
The Strategy Group fed into this Growth Plan on behalf of our sector. The Growth Plan requested three main things from the Government: Single Funding Devolution Settlement Fair and long-term funding certainty for local authorities Developing an established pathway to fiscal devolution
The plan went on to outline what LCR can do to deliver on Labour's 5 missions and also included Bolstering our position as a ‘Global Cultural Capital’: using the cultural, creative and visitor economy sectors to drive inclusive and sustainable growth.
Our Strategy Group will continue to make sure we are linked in with any developments on this and other similar important work like this.
Thank you to everyone who supplied Case Studies that showcase your great work that fits so well with Labour’s 5 missions to rebuild Britain, 1) Economic growth 2) Clean energy & sustainability 3) Take back our streets 4) Break down barriers to opportunity 5) Health & Wellbeing.
If you haven't seen the final 15 chosen by the Strategy Group, then please visit the Culture Network website and/or visit the Uncover Liverpool Instagram. And why not share these on your socials? |
