| In March we have hosted 3 events! What an insightful conversation. We explored how organisations can work collectively to support affected communities, maintain safe cultural spaces, and strengthen solidarity across the sector. Summary notes will be included in your April Member Bulletin Thank you so much to everyone who attended. For those of you who don't know, I'm Dan, the new Membership and systems coordinator at Culture Network LCR. This was such an amazing opportunity for me to meet members and freelancers and start building relationships! Thank you to all Catalyst presenters! We covered a lot: upcoming arts festivals, opportunities for local artists, and major cultural events planned across the city through 2026-2030. We also explored the sector’s growing economic impact, sustainability collaborations, fundraising campaigns, and creative education initiatives. Full summary notes will be available in your April Member Bulletin |

| Join us at Half-Space for a Decoloniality Training session led by Dr Rebecca Loy of Living Colour Collective. The module introduces the foundations of decoloniality, exploring the origins of race and racism alongside pre-colonial African histories. Participants will examine how race was constructed through law, science and empire, reflect on its ongoing impact on institutions, and apply trauma-informed, healing-centred decolonial approaches to their work and organisational culture, concluding with practical anti-colonial strategies for the workplace. About Living Colour Collective Through dynamic workshops and interactive sessions, we build a vibrant community where diverse voices are celebrated. We inspire people to explore creativity, challenge preconceptions, and embrace a more inclusive worldview. By sharing tools for personal and professional growth, we foster resilience, innovation, and belonging. | Unity - A Round Table Special |
| When? Friday 10th April 3pm-4:30pm Where? :📍World Museum What? : A special Round Table event with a focus on 'Unity' Book Here |
|
| |
|
| Save the date! Following the thoughtful conversations sparked during our Culture of Courage Round Tables (Parts 1 and 2), we’re bringing the Network together again for a special session on Friday 10th April at the World Museum, centred on the theme of Unity. This Round Table will create space for us to reflect on how the cultural sector can show solidarity with the communities around us, respond reactively to an ever-changing political landscape, and support one another through the challenging but necessary conversations our work often invites. Together, we’ll explore how we can strengthen connections, share perspectives, and move forward collectively. If you’d like to join us in person, you can book a place via the link above. Please note that spaces are limited to 15 participants. Online invitations will be shared closer to the date for those who would like to take part remotely. |
