Hi all,

I've just had this through from the social mobility foundation who I think do great work. I've been involved with them for some years, mentoring students and reviewing UCAS personal statements.

I see they are inviting involvement with the 2026 cohort and I thought people within our community might be interested to know.

KR, Alex

Dear Alex,

We hope this email finds you well! As an alumnus of the Social Mobility Foundation's mentoring programme you played a key role in inspiring and guiding the next generation of talent,  and we would like to invite you to continue making an impact

We are currently recruiting mentors for our 2026 cycle , and we would be thrilled if you would re-join us to support another cohort of exceptional young people from underrepresented backgrounds. Your support means students are able to connect with professionals like you, gain insight into their chosen careers, and build confidence for their next steps. As you'll see in our Impact Suite 📊, mentoring is as transformative for mentors as it is for students!

If you'd like to continue your support of the mentoring programme for the upcoming 2026 cycle
please follow the form below.

Some workplaces offer match funding for volunteer hours. It would be great if you could ask your employer about tracking volunteer hours (e.g through platforms like Benevity ) to donate money as well as your time to our charity , at no cost to yourself!

We hope to work with you again!

Thanks in advance, and if you have any questions, please get in touch:

Best wishes,
The SMF Mentoring Team
