As architects, developers, or just plain technology enthusiasts, we
attend conferences like the Day of .NET in Ann Arbor for many
reasons. But, I think that we all hope to walk away with that one gem
of knowledge that will fundamentally improve how we do things.

Of this year's line-up (http://www.dayofdotnet.org/Sessions.aspx),
which sessions do you hope will have the most impact on what you do
over the course of the next year? Is there anything in particular
that you hope that one of our sessions will cover, or at least touch
upon?

"Multithreading in Windows Forms Applications" for sure,
Multithreading is a must going forward, what with the free-ride of the
Hertz coming to an end and the new toll-road of Multi-Core being laid
down.

As a newbie, I believe the session that will impact me the most is
"Introduction to Object Oriented Programming Using C#". I also wish
there was a session for "Introduction to Object Oriented Programming
Using Visual Basic" as well. I am also interested the "SQL Server"
session too. Lastly, I hope the Expression session covers some details
and comparisons of Expression Web and Visual Web Developer.

Thanks.

I must say that Brian Prince's talk on agile made quite an impact on
me. I share many of his views, but some of what he said was quite
enlightening. In addition, the two sessions put on by Mark Miller
were, without a doubt, awesome. I always say to people now, "you have
not lived until you've seen Mark Miller in action."
