Controlling PDF size

Hi,

Is it possible to control the size of PDFs converted from word documents?

When a PDF is generated by manually saving a word document as pdf, there are option to reduce size such as turning on compression,  options related to conforming to web content accessibility etc. Can we pass any such parameters when documents4j API makes a call to MS Word instance to make the conversion?

It's not possible by default but you can supply your own conversion script. (Check the code for the system property, in the abstract converter.)

You'd need to find out how to ibstruct word to do this via VBS.
