Grouping windows and New design

Hi.

First thanks for this useful dock.
i think Docky needs disable/enable option for grouping windows.
Because when we work with many windows it is becomeing hard...

And i have idea i dont know what will you think...
Big boxes ? i think the image explains everything. Sory for my bad and
insufficient english :)

Grouped windows was a core feature and an assumption made while designing Docky.  The code is highly taylored to this assumption and thus such an option is not really feasible and probably will never be implemented.

Plus, personally, I do not see it as a good idea anyway.  If you have a lot of windows.. then NOT grouping them will put a TON of icons onto the dock and force it to shrink the icon size way down to fit your screen.  And every item would have the same icon, so it'd be very confusing trying to find which one you want.

Yep...I stopped using Docky for open applications and manage them long ago.

I launch using Gnome Do and just have  a gnome panel with the standard window manager on it to see open windows.....and the gnome panel groups windows already.

Gnome Do + Docky (for plugins like weather) + gnome panel (for window manager and an actual functioning notification area) = nice balance of enhanced usability without too much eye candy
