I want to know what is the difference between Open Source Docker and CS Commercial Supported Docker Engine .

I understand CS Docker engine is subscribed one but my question is the installation binary different for both versions ?

The OSS engine and CS engine are different binaries, but they're both based on the same code, and differences should be very minimal.

The biggest difference is in the -support- part; whereas the OSS maintainer only support the latest version of the engine, a CS subscription can include support for previous versions, which in some cases can include back ported fixes.

I'm not on the "CS" team, so don't have all the nitty-gritty-details, but if you need more information, I can forward your question to that team.

Hope this helps,

Is there any update on this?
It would be good to understand as development occurs on Docker if we need to ensure we are loading Docker CS for the builds. Can we get the details?

Thanks,
Mitchell
