why images --tree is deprecated?

As I new bee to Docker, I felt that docker images --tree would be a very useful command, however it is deprecated. Do we have any alternatives for --tree?

TL;DR: it's deprecated as part of an effort to remove unnecessary features from docker core so it stays lightweight, and if you still need that feature you can use dockviz: https://github.com/justone/dockviz
