The teaser is that a big announcement is coming tomorrow, barring the
unforeseen.
I've also made significant progress, to the point where I expect to
file two cases with this this week.
As a couple of people noted, the generation of output was slower than
might be expected; it was 20-30 seconds for the fuller case shown in
the demo.
I found where the time was being wasted.
To put this in perspective, the original version of this, running on
an SE/30, the fastest machine of its day (for at least a few months),
could process about 1 debt/asset a second while generating output.
With the printer running at 4 pages/minute, that was nifty.
The "slow" output today was running at about a page of output a second.
Now, with the holdup found (and if anyone *really* wants to know about
HyperCard-type programming issues, I'll spill the beans, but I'm not
holding my breath), it's generating 34 pages of output in about six
seconds, snapping several across the screen per second--the means test
flies by too fast to notice.
Also, when it goes on kickstarter, I'll give this list a heads-up
before the others, to give folks here first-crack at the
super-discounted $750 copy.
