Position Opening for Graduate Study
The Polymer Nanomaterials Laboratory (PNL, http://cau.ac.kr/~polyelec/) at Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, is urgently recruiting a graduate student for the Fall semester 2017 as follows.
1. Qualification: B.S. or M.S. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or bio-medical related major. Good communication and writing skills in English.
: BS degree holders are supposed to get into an integrated program of both MS and Ph.D, ultimately pursuing a Ph.D. degree that will take 4~6 years depending on progress.
: MS degree holders should directly get into Ph.D. program that will take 3~5 years depending on progress.
2. Benefits: Tuition waived by the CAYSS program in the Chung-Ang University. A stipend (700,000 KRW/month before tax), costs for attending conferences (at least twice a year for domestic, attendance on international conferences depends on achievements), and incentives.
3. Application Procedure: First send your CV, academic transcript, and any official English test score (optional) to Prof. Juhyun Park at jp...@cau.ac.kr.
: An applicant who gets an approval and recommendation from Prof. Park recommends is supposed to prepare documents in the below and first send them via email by June, 23, 2017, followed by sending printed copies via regular mail.
: Documents include an application form, official undergraduate and master degree certificate, official academic transcripts, study plan, copies of published journal papers or manuscript in preparation (optional), a copy of passport, a copy of foreigner registration card if staying in Korea, letter of consent for degree verification, a copy of both parent’s certification of nationality such as ID card or passport copy, a letter of recommendation from the hosting professor for the CAYSS program (http://oia.cau.ac.kr/20150504/eng/sub05/sub0502_3_2.php)
