APC values for Hybrid content

Hi there, 

OpenAlex harvests not only Gold APC cost (as you would expect) but also Hybrid APC cost (estimations) which originate from DOAJ. This seems rather strange regarding the fact that DOAJ officially only shows Gold APC data. Can you enlighten me? An API example which includes hybrid APC originating from DOAJ: https://api.openalex.org/works/W4391883032 ("apc_list":{"value":4300,"currency":"USD","value_usd":4300,"provenance":"doaj"},"apc_paid":{"value":4300,"currency":"USD","value_usd":4300,"provenance":"doaj"}; "is_in_doaj":false). From where does this Hybrid APC information originate, and how often is it updated?

We don't index that journal so I was unable to find the article you were referring to.

I see from the extract you shared:

is_oa":false,"is_in_doaj":false

I think the good people at OpenAlex might be able to help you further.

You are absolutely correct: we don't index hybrid journals.

 Thank you very much for confirming that the Hybrid cost data does not originate from DOAJ - strange that OpenAlex gives DOAJ as provenance. I will investigate further.
