After some excellent feedback from a user, we have published a set of FAQ questions which cover areas which are currently missing from the API documentation.

This list will be updated as new questions come in.

We are also aware that the documentation needs to be updated and we have a task on our To Do list to get this done. Hopefully, this will make using the API easier and clearer for you all.

Best wishes,

Dom Mitchell

Dear Dominic,

I am trying to upload articles to DOAJ but can not generate API key.

After login into DOAJ and choosing my login number I see account details. Unfortunatelly the role is set to publisher and I can not change (update) the role.

Could you please help me solving this problem.

My DOAJ number is 25439103.

Best,

Jacek

Dear Jacek,

I have granted you API rights. You should be able to see the API key in your publisher's area.

Many thanks,

Dear Clara,
thank you for your support. However I have one more question. Could you please tell me how can I export all ASEJ's data from DOAJ to my OJS system (I am switching to a new publishing system at the University).

Best,
Jacek

Hi Jacek,

You can retrieve all your data via the DOAJ API, which is documented here: https://doaj.org/api/v1/docs

Probably you can achieve what you want with the following two endpoints:

* Article Search
* Journal Search

You can search by ISSN or any other suitable criteria to obtain the data about your Journals and Articles.

Note that there's a limit of 10000 records that can be retrieved via the search API, so if you have more articles than that in DOAJ, then you will need to wait until we make the full data dump of the system available, which is due very soon.

Cheers,

Richard

Dear Dominic
I am trying to export from OJS 3 but I don't have my personal API key to do it.
Therefore, after logging in to DOAJ and choosing my login number, the API does not appear.
My DOAJ number is 26599198
Could you help me?
Thank you very much in advance!
