If you haven't been able to play around with the development demo, it's because I recently changed hosts and hadn't moved everything over.
We're up to (completely arbitrary) Version 0.75

Message support is in there (though I don't have it sending messages in all the proper places)
Adding, editing, and removing item sources (places to buy) are implemented.

Feel free to play at do-want.aaroneiche.com. Valid username/passwords are:

admin/password
user/password
user2/password

There are some other users on there, but I don't know what their passwords are. Message notifications are limited, so beware.
have fun, tell me what's wrong, what you think, etc, etc.

I turned in a feature request to your project page on Google Project/Code, in case you haven't checked or haven't been checking. :)

Question: How does the "people I'm shopping for" work, as far as adding someone? I logged in as user (user one) and added user2 (user two), and it said "pending". So I logged out and then logged in as user2 expecting to see some kind of request or notification, but I didn't see anything. But it had user (user one) as "people shopping for me" like it was already a done deal. Is that correct? Just not fully implemented? How's it supposed to work?

Looking great, though. Super excited!!!!

Got your feature request. Not deleting items is a great idea. I'll
work on that, hopefully we can get it into the 1.0 release.

I haven't been able to replicate the problem that you identified. The
testing I've done this morning shows that userA can't see userB's list
until userB approves the request. There definitely is a hole in the
process. A message does show up in the "manage" panel, but there's no
obvious change in the interface to indicate that. I had played with
putting a red badge showing the number of messages, but there's a bug
in bootstrap where if you click on the badge (rather than outside of
it in the button) it doesn't switch sections. I've updated the
usernames to match their Full Names better. admin is now
Administrator, user is now User and user2 is now User2

Can I ask you to go in and give it another shot?

Approval and intuitive-ness is on my list of things to do for that, as
I can figure it out...
