Remove Prefix

hi 

i have a rule on my trunk denovo ver 7 that will remove 011 prefix 

i am working now on version V10.8.7 

i dont see the tab called action at all 

can someone guide me how i replicate this above rule on this latest version ?

I am unclear on how the rule works

I see you removed the 011 and also the 178

The rule only call to remove 3 digits..

Also can you explain me how will only remove the 011

This is the 

Digit Manipulation rule i have set up 

now this is how the call simulator looks like 

seems like the rull works but still has an issue with the inboind rate 

so the Origination-SRC-DNIS: is correct
 the  Origination-Digit-Mapped-DNIS: and the  Origination-Translation-DNIS: have the 9909 removed cause it a tech prefix and the 011 removed due the above

the problem is we have this field  Origination-Route-DNIS field , the 9909 tech prefix is removes but the 011 is not removed the system used this field to look up in ingress rate and does not find anything since we need to remove the 011

my questions is how to we set this up correctly

Hello, 

The system removed 9909 after tech prefix the remaining digits considered as a code.

DNIS ( tech prefix + Routing code + rest of the numbers )

Also, according to my shared example, 011 is a tech prefix which is only a  part of the Inbound DNIS and would not be considered in Outbound DNIS.

I set the rule in outbound side to remove first 3 digits from the DNIS, so the outbund DNIS is 1702281xxxxx and system removed the 170.

Its not working for me cause there is a inbound rate being checked as well

So on the inbound side the rate table for UK has 44

How ever the dnis is still 01144 

On the inbound side only the tech prefix got removed the 9909

Questions is now do I remove the 011 from the inbound dnis

Could you please explain to me what 011 in your DNIS is?

I see that 9909 is your tech prefix and 44 is your code. Could you clarify why you are using 011 and then want to remove it using the switch tools?

The DNIS should be the tech prefix + routing code, so in your case it will be "9909442079493086" (9909 + 44 +2079493086).

Why is DNIS still using 011? If we use this code, then the system must check the rate for the code 011, and it shows " Ingress Rate Not Found ".

 

And If you still want to use 011 in Inbound DNIS and then also want to remove it, the please set the below rule in your ingress side, it will helps you to remove 011 from the Inbound DNIS and pass normal call.
