Hi all,

I've installed DMXis V 1.1.2 under Mac OS X 10.6.8. At beginning DMXis
was running very good.
Then the software shows this error message "DMXIS Hardware not found"
more often but I could handle it with repluging the interface and new
start. But now at every start the message "DMXIS Hardware not found
(not detected)" will be shown. Nothing helps, no replug, no new
installation.

I'm running dmxis under Ableton Live too.

At the moment I think the dmx hardware usb interface is damaged. The
manual described that the two leds between the XLR sockets should
blink at a constant rate whenever the DMXis software is running. The
two leds do not blink they are always on like the two leds on the USB
connector side when i plug in the interface.

After DMXis didn't work any more on my Macbock, i installed it under
Windows. There is the same problem. First start and then DMXIS
Hardware not found.

Who can help me?

Nik

If DMXIS used to work fine, there have been no changes in your computer configuration (hardware or software) since, and you get connect issues across multiple machines, then this is an issue Enttec need to solve directly for you. Email them at sup...@enttec.com.

However, let me clarify the correct LED states on the box:
  • The two LEDs on the USB side of the box should light up solid as soon as the unit is connected, indicating that USB power is being received. (Note that it does NOT guarantee that the USB source is capable of providing sufficient current, only that the correct voltage is being detected)
  • The LED between the two XLR sockets should start flashing as soon as you send DMX data (i.e. when you load the first DMXIS preset or move a DMXIS fader), and thereafter it should continue flashing until you unplug the unit.
  • The LED next to the 1/4" jack socket should only flash briefly when a connected footswitch is pressed or released.
If the LEDs are in any other state, you need to contact Enttec for help.

Hi Nik, Im having the identical problem as you. Worked fine when I got it a
few weeks ago and now everything you said is the same story for me.

I just tried the interface with 3 other systems (2 PC and 1 Mac) and they all
have the same problem.

Have you had any luck resolving the problem?

Andy
