Hi all,

I'm using DMOI and Runestone for the first time, and I love it so far! But I can't figure out an easy way to see student responses to reading questions without downloading and wading through all the raw data for the course.

I know I can go to student progress and click on one student and then click "show", but this is a lot of clicks to just get one response. What am I missing?

Hi Katie,

If you go to the grading tab in Runestone (Instructor dashboard -> Assignments & Grading -> Grader).  You select the assignment and then can select all students.  You can limit by question or student too, but you will see all the questions and responses on the right side.  I usually just scroll down and have a few standard copy/paste responses to put in (I also usually set up the assignment to give full credit when they enter anything by scoring on "interaction" and then dock points if they clearly blow off the assignment).

Cheers,
Oscar.

Thank you so much! I kind of got it to work. When I load a reading assignment, everything says "preview not available," but if I go to the individual reading questions that were on the assignment, then I can load the responses on one page. I just have to cross-reference the ones I assigned with the options in grader.
