Hemmings Great Race 2013

I just spoke with Fred D. who reminded me that the Hemmings Great race, originating in St. Paul, MN, will be coming through Baton Rouge and Covington this Friday and Saturday before it ends in Mobile this weekend. No Deloreans, but you can view the roster of other cars at www.greatrace.com. The cars will be parked overnight at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino on Friday, and New Hampshire street in Covington on Saturday. I know a lot of you are out of state but this would be neat to see if you are anywhere the area.

Not sure, but I would imagine the Baton Rouge event would be in the casino parking lot. IIRC, it is a parking garage.
Again not sure, but I would also think that New Hampshire street in Covington would be blocked off with cars parked along the street, much like the monthly block parties with car shows they have in downtown Covington. I don’t know of any lot in the area large enough to accommodate all of the cars. It is supposed to be a huge event in each area they stop in, but really don’t know what to expect…
There are 99 cars on the roster making the trip.
