Prevaricators don't outright lie -- they just don't recognize the truth.

Example: The *ONLY* way to convert an R12 A/C system to R134 is to replace all the hoses, replace the accumulator, replace the compressor, replace the orifice tube, replace the O rings, etc.

Arbiters of DeLorean Purity are the ones you have to watch out for. Pontificators and Prevaricators make a lot of noise, but they don't erase you from existence. Arbiters of DeLorean Purity are like George Orwell's Ministry of Truth.

They also prefer fix a flat instead of real tires.  Had I listened to them, I wouldn't have danced with a ton of beautiful married women the other night.

Thanks to Bill and his spare tire advice, I got to dance with some pretty ladies.

DMCToday is already more interesting than DMCTalk.

Let me borrow your ID and password and I can fix that....

Actually, while rained out earlier this week, out of sheer boredom, I created a DMCTalk ID. I just wanted to see what its life expectancy would be. Didn't try to hide anything: used "Bill Robertson" as the ID and set it up from my 20 year ISP. Within an hour it was dead.

Anyone notice how references to DMCToday.com over on DMCTalk magically disappear shortly after they're posted? Both 'Sammy' and I's reference to DMCToday.com in the 'General Alternative For Carrying A Spare Tire' have magically disappeared, yet no moderator ever contacted me informing me of what rule I violated with such a posting.

There's a new owner that started a thread over on DMCTalk here:

http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?7496-New-Delorean-Owner-16893-Black-Interior-Auto-Trans&p=109780#post109780

I just posted a reply to this thread recommending that he check out DMCToday.com. Let's see how long it takes for something to magically happen to my post.

I notice a hyperlink to Gulf Coast DeLoreans is still MIA.

DeLorean of Humble TX -- so much for name recognition.

the link i posted to steve's $15 speedometer cable thread is still listed in this thread.

although i didnt specifically mention it was DMCToday or steve's video, Josh S makes it quite clear in the post immediately afterward--it hasnt been deleted... yet.

While not directly related to your concern (DMCTalk moderators removing DMCToday references), the $15 speedometer cable is a fun mod. If I could find a domestic source of crimp on ends, cost would only be $7.
