The Authority of Jesus 耶稣的权柄

Even after Jesus had set my son Geoff free from years of substance abuse, I still had worries. We’d been through much together and my focus sometimes remained on his difficult past instead of the future God had for him. Parents of addicts often worry about relapse, and one day at a family gathering, I pulled Geoff aside. “Remember,” I told him, “we have an adversary, and he’s powerful.” “I know, Dad,” he responded. “He has power, but he has no authority.”
In that moment, I was reminded of Jesus’ incomparable authority to rescue us from our sins and transform our lives as we look to Him. Immediately I thought of His words to the disciples shortly before He returned to His Father in heaven: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go . . .” (Matthew 28:18-19).
The crucified and risen Jesus has made a way for us to come to Him no matter what our past may be. He holds both our past and our future. Because He’s promised to be with us always (v. 20), we can be assured that He’ll accomplish His purposes and that our lives are in His unfailing hands. Jesus gives us unparalleled hope, a hope so good we can’t keep it to ourselves. The devil and the world may have some power for a little while, but “all authority” belongs to Jesus forever. 我儿子杰夫曾经滥用药物多年，后来耶稣使他摆脱药物，得到释放。然而，我却仍旧为他担忧。我们一起经历了很多事情，有时我还是将焦点放在他艰难的过往，而非上帝为他安排的未来。瘾君子的父母常常会担心孩子会重蹈覆辙，再次陷入旧瘾。因此，在某一天的家庭聚会上，我把杰夫拉到一边，说：”你要记住，我们有一个仇敌，而且牠很厉害。”他回答：”爸爸，我知道这仇敌有能力，但牠没有任何权柄。”
在那一刻，我想起当我们仰望耶稣时，祂那无与伦比的权柄能救我们脱离罪恶，并改变我们的生命。同时，我也想到耶稣被接升天之前，对门徒说：“天上地下所有的权柄都赐给我了。所以，你们要去⋯⋯。”（马太福音28章18-19节）
无论我们过去如何，那位被钉十字架、死而复活的耶稣，已为我们开辟了一条通往祂的道路。祂掌握着我们的过去和未来。因祂已经应许永远与我们同在（20节），所以我们能肯定祂会完成祂的计划，而且我们的生命都在祂的手中，永不失落。耶稣给了我们独一无二的盼望，而这份盼望是何等美好，所以我们禁不住要与人分享！魔鬼和世界可能暂时拥有一些能力，但“所有的权柄”都永远属于耶稣。 作者： 庞雅各
