Hi, all,
OK, This is where I start bringing the DM48 into the lessons.
I posted 4 more videos. These are the 1st videos of lesson 2. The 1st one explains how I used the music theory Circle of 5ths and the circle of flats to strategically pick which diatonic harps I would carry so I could play in as many key/mode combinations possible when I'd play out at blues jams.
This info is important because it was the basis for how I began learning how I wanted to play the DM48.
The next 3 new Lesson 2 videos take you step-by-step along my thought processes and experience as I progressed in my endeavor to become proficient on the DM48 quickly and efficiently.
This is where my customizations come into play.
I should mention, again, that i was very good on the diatonic harp, playing around 3000 hours over 10 years, but then I basically stopped playing for 10 years. Since I was essentially starting again with a blank canvas, so to speak, I was more willing to move beyond standard diatonic and chromatic tunings. It took a few months to get there, as you'll see in the videos.
So, depending on your own experiences, my analysis may or may not resonate with you. But it definitely will make you more keenly aware of the power of the DM48 customizations that can be achieved.
Again, these are my first take. I plan to re record them again but right now my priority is playing so I'm gonna share them like this for now. There's some slight clicking sounds but you can still understand me fine I think.
