Hi!

As noted by several users, upgrading to iOS 26 led to unstable Bluetooth MIDI connections with the DM48X.

With the release of a bluetooth module firmware update, this issue is now resolved. It only takes a few minutes to update your instrument:
  • Download the Bluefruit Connect app to your iPad or iPhone via the App Store.
  • Connect to the DM48X within the app (may occasionally show up as DfuTarg)
  • Update to the latest version (v0.9.0).
  • Ensure the update is complete before restarting your DM48X.

I followed all these instructions in the update went fine but I still can't connect to my iPad and the apps I previously used. Anyone having similar issues or recommended fixes? Thank you! Sean

Not sure but guess it would not make any difference as the firmware is a normal .hex file.

Hi  Sean
Just note that you will not find the DM48X Bluetooth MIDI in the Settings of the iPad.
The only way is to open a MIDI-capable app (like GarageBand, AUM, or SWAM) and use the in-app MIDI settings to find and "Connect" the DM48X.  If that does not work, try the (free) app "midimittr" or another very useful free app I use for all my MIDI instruments, "Midi Wrench".

I forgot to mention/ask.  Erik mentioned the latest version (v.0.9.0) but I guess this is an error.
Did you check if the DM48X really displays the correct version 1.20
(Just turn on the DM48X while holding the slider).

Thank you for the responses I appreciate it. I'm not sure what changed I just opened bluefruit again to double check but now when I'm using geoshred it can connect again so all is well. Thanks again!
