BURGLARY
Leesburg Pike 8900
Employees of the McLean Bible Church, at 8925 Leesburg Pike, notified police of a burglary on Friday, September 26. An investigation determined that two people broke into the building during the night, around 2:29 a.m., and walked throughout the building, causing damage inside. The suspects were described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. One was wearing a camouflage jacket, a dark backpack and baggy, dark pants. The other suspect had a thin build and was wearing a long, dark trench coat and white socks with dark shoes. He also wore a large, red hat.
PETIT LARCENY/VEHICLE TAMPERING/ARREST
Stillwood Circle 2900
Police responded to the report of a man attempting to break into vehicles parked in the 2900 block of Stillwood Circle on Tuesday, September 30. Around 2:41 a.m., officers observed a man sitting inside one of the vehicles. Further investigation determined the suspect allegedly stole the side-view mirrors from multiple vehicles. Walter Silva Valdivia, 22, of 2901 Stillwood Circle #401, in the Falls Church area, was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Silva Valdivia was charged with petit larceny and vehicle tampering.
